Core policy — no returns on opened/consumed cannabis
Due to state and health regulations, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on cannabis products that have been opened, used, or consumed
For safety and compliance, all sales of cannabis products are final once the product packaging has been opened or the product has been used
Unopened / defective / clearly nonconforming items
We will accept returns or exchanges for defective, damaged, or unopened items returned in their original, sealed packaging with legible lot, batch, or inventory ID and a valid receipt within a specified timeframe (commonly 7–30 days depending on item type)
Cartridge or vape returns may have separate rules (some vendors exclude cartridges from standard defective-product returns) — state this explicitly if applicable
Reporting timeframe & documentation
Customers must report damaged, lost, or incorrect items within a limited period after delivery (typical windows in practice: 7 days to 14 business days) and provide photos, order number, and receipt to qualify for return/exchange or credit
Require original packaging and legible batch/lot/inventory ID for any return or exchange to verify product traceability
Restocking fees & exchange options
If you elect to accept returns, consider a restocking fee (e.g., $15) and/or offer exchanges or store credit in lieu of refunds; many dispensaries waive restocking fees when the customer places a new qualifying order
